Autumn Equinox: Yoga, Sound & Brunch

Cacao, Yoga + Sound at the beautiful Danesfield House Hotel & Spa
Join Cassie Burge and Laura Twomey for a soulful morning honouring the Autumn Equinox - a moment of balance and transition as we move from the outward energy of summer into the slower, more introspective rhythm of autumn.
Together, we’ll create space to pause, reconnect and intentionally welcome the season ahead through ceremonial cacao, movement, breath, stillness and sound.
We’ll begin by our gathering in ceremony with ancestral cacao (Heart to Earth), taking time to arrive, ground and connect with an intention for the morning. Traditionally used as a heart-opening plant medicine, cacao offers us a beautiful way to soften into the body, quieten some of the outside noise and create space to listen a little more deeply within.
From here, Cassie will guide you through a soulful and nourishing slow yoga flow, inspired by the energy of the Equinox and the transition into autumn. Through mindful movement, breath and meditation, we’ll explore the balance between light and dark, movement and rest, holding on and letting go, allowing the body to guide us towards what we might be ready to release as we enter this new season.
We’ll then move from movement into deep rest with Laura, settling into stillness as the sounds and vibrations of crystal bowls wash over you. This final part of the morning will be an invitation to do absolutely nothing - to rest, receive and integrate - with the possibility of being guided deeper through Yoga Nidra.
A morning to move, soften, listen and receive. To honour the changing season, reconnect with your own inner rhythms and create a little more space for whatever autumn is asking you to welcome in.

Need to Know:
- Yoga mats and blocks (not necessary) will be provided, however you’re very welcome to bring your own if you prefer. And warm clothing for relaxation, including blankets, socks and scarves.
- Please bring a water bottle.
- Suitable for those with a basic understanding and some previous yoga experience

Monthly Walking & History Tours

We are excited to offer you an informative 1 hour tour of our magnificent 65 acres where you will discover the numerous unique plantings, the Italian garden, rare c1900 Pulham Stone monuments, the Danesfield Iron Age Hillfort and breath-taking views of the River Thames, offering the perfect backdrop for photos and peaceful reflection.
The tour will be followed by a 45 minute talk about the hotel's history as RAF Medmenham. The talk and tour will be presented by Head Gardener, Dave Brown.
Timing: 13:30 – 15:00
£10.00 per person (children under 12 years complimentary). Reservations are essential due to high demand. Pre-payment is required, non-refundable and non-transferable.
Tours are limited to 30 people.
Enhance your experience with a delightful cream tea for just £10 per person, this offer is available exclusively to those attending our Walking & History Tours.
