Before you get here
The information here should help you plan your stay and make the most of your time with us.
By all means, at any point, feel free to get in touch and speak to one of us in the hotel. We will be happy to talk through the best country walks around the hotel, or recommend boutique shopping and local attractions.
Also, do get in touch if you would like us to arrange airport transfers, helicopter rides, theatre tickets, fresh flowers...
Some frequently asked questions that you may find useful before your arrival.

You are very welcome to bring your dog with you when staying at the hotel. We have 65 acres of gardens and woodlands that they will love to explore. Some of our ground floor rooms have direct access to the garden and dogs are welcome in the cocktail bar but no other areas of the hotel unless an assistance dog is required. A fee of £25 per dog per night is applied on top of the accommodation rate.
There are also a number of beautiful walking trails around the area and we would be happy to recommend dog-friendly pubs in the area too. We also have a mobile grooming service available to come to the hotel grounds.
The best way to accommodate a family staying at the hotel will depend on the age of the children and how many there are. We have some Duplex Suites that are perfect for a family of four. Otherwise you may want to consider two Courtyard Rooms. We can provide cots and extra beds if needed. We will be happy to discuss your requirements.
Children over five years old are welcome to use the swimming pool when accompanied by an adult. Please check swimming times to avoid disappointment.
Children are welcome to join their parents in The Restaurant and enjoy a specially designed children's menu.
Unfortunately there are no facilities to warm up a bottle in your bedroom, however we are happy to warm it up for you if needed.
The Restaurant is open for residents and non-residents for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. In the warmer months The Restaurant menu is also served in The Terrace. Other dining options in the hotel would be a light menu served in the Cocktail Bar or Spa Illuminata or a in room dining option of Room Service.
The use of the spa facilities is included on your room rate. Non-residents are welcome to visit the spa for treatments or some spa days include the use of the facilities. Apart from those options the only other way to access the spa is by becoming a member.
Although Danesfield House is a listed building, the hotel has adapted to offer a good level of comfort to all guests. For non-residents it would be good to know, The Restaurant is on the ground floor, same level as the hotel entrance. For those staying at the hotel there are a few rooms on ground floor. If you need any help with regards to accessibility please discuss with us prior to your arrival.
