Loose Leaf Teas

Working very closely with our friends from Jing Tea, we believe we have sourced some of the finest teas from around the world. Such is the high quality of our teas, may we politely suggest that you try your first cup of tea without milk to experience the full delicate flavours that they produce.
Black Tea
India and Sri Lanka
English Breakfast
Assam is the world’s largest tea growing region. The tea is low-grown and holds a reputation as the strongest, full-bodied tea to be found. Selected from many Assam teas for its extraordinarily rich maltiness and surprisingly floral tones, this tea has been chosen to satisfy those who love a strong and malty cup of tea, with or without milk.
Darjeeling 2nd Flush
From May onwards, the famed Darjeeling summer teas are produced with succulent leaves and a sprinkling of silvery tips. The infused leaf expresses a rich and full bodied aroma with hints of the sought after muscatel flavour for which the second flush is famed.
Ceylon Blend
One of the most outstanding Ceylon teas you will ever drink. It takes well with milk although best drunk black. Full bodied, soothing and complex.

China
Bohea Lapsang
Brought to you directly from the original 400-year-old Bohea Farm in Fujian’s Wuyi Mountains, this smooth, mellow, copper-coloured tea is reminiscent of a fine Scotch Whisky. The difference between Bohea and commercial Lapsang is enormous, perhaps similar to the distinction between mass-produced whiskies and slowly made properly aged, artisan malts. Many Lapsang are heavily smoked by burning pine oil rather than using the special pine wood found only in the Wuyi Mountains. Drying the leaves slowly over pine wood fires instead gives Wuyi Bohea soft, lingering smokiness, making it an incredibly easy-to-slip-down and sophisticated after dinner tea.
Aged China Tea
White Tea
Silver Needle – Yin Zhen
Long, soft and downy, Silver Needle is composed of hand-picked, first spring buds of the Da-Bai tea plant. It comes from Fuding, a serene region with waterfalls and clear lakes. The peaceful setting is reflected in the flavour: soft, mellow, with the freshness of honeydew melon and the soothing sweetness of a ripe cantaloupe. It is an easy-drinking tea that is ideal to relax with both day and night.
Green Tea
Organic Maojian
Grown in misty gardens in the Anhui province of Eastern China, where the nights are long and cold and little sunlight is shed, Maojian is a bright and fresh tea. It is not astringent or overly vegetal. It is simply a clean-tasting tea that seems to suit all moods, occasions and personalities. It is a tea you can drink throughout the day.

Scented Tea
Earl Grey Supreme
Named after the 1830’s Prime Minister, Earl Grey is the Western World’s most popular scented black tea. Most Earl Grey teas are made with the lowest grade black tea. This Supreme Earl Grey is made with a rich, whole Ceylon leaf, sprinkled with cornflowers and scented with Bergamot.
Hand rolled Jasmine Pearls – Jasmine Scented Green Tea
Poetic in form and fragrance, these stunning little pearls produce the most memorable Jasmine tea you’ll ever taste. Each one is hand-fashioned by rolling the freshest, long downy leaf bud sets, which come from the first spring picking, together into silvery pearls. The gorgeous colour comes from the fine fur or tippy coat on each tea bud. The finished pearls are then scented five to seven times with fresh, aromatic jasmine flowers. When steeped, the pearls unravel to reveal a captivating perfume.

Hand Tied Flowering Tea
Arabian Jasmine Arch
Made with green tea buds that are scented with summer jasmine blossoms, the leaves are hand-tied into a sphere around an exotic Arabian jasmine flower. It has a sweet floral scent and a refreshing green tea taste.

Tisanes
Whole Chamomile Flowers
This delightful flower is fresh, cleansing and intensely enjoyable to drink. The only way to appreciate the floral, summery elegance of chamomile is to put the whole flower in water. The result is a stunning freshness and light, cleansing flavour that you can only find by infusing the whole leaf.
Rooibos / Redbush
High in anti-oxidants and caffeine free, for some people this infusion offers a great combination of health and flavour. Jing's Rooibos is a superlative grade of Rooibos. It originates in South Africa and is a very healthy after dinner drink.
Whole Pink Rosebuds
The distilled beauty of whole rosebuds provides the definitive 'herbal' experience. Light and fragrant like a delicate perfume, this drink is soothing, refreshing and delicate on the palate. Danesfield’s whole rosebud infusion is an outstanding herbal drink. Small but perfectly formed, these intensely fragrant and beautiful rosebuds release an almost euphoric aroma and flavour into the water.
Peppermint Leaf
Striking and strong, our peppermint infusion cleans your palate and aids digestion.
